We get the computer gain!

Mom has let us get to the computer again! She hogs it. We have been really busy. We have had school and mom has been playing with us in the agility yard. All winter Emma and Lilian have had agility workshops. But now it is warm and we can play on our own equipment. Daddy got us a new tunnel and weave poles. Later this month we have a TeaCup Dog Agility Fun Run and next month we have a TDAA trial. Winnie isn't ready to trial yet. Lilian says that Winnie isn't ready to do anything yet. She says that Winnie wants to be a cheerleader. But mom says that Winnie is doing okay in obedience and beginning to do things in agility.

Now we have to go. Mom has said that the weather is nice and we need to go out to play. Soon Earth Dog will start and we need to practice on the chippermunkers!

Bye for now, Emma and Lilian

Winnie passed and Lilian has her CGC

Winnie passed her beginner obedience class. She sure acted silly but she passed! Lilian took her AKC Canine Good Citizen test and she passed. I, Emma, have mine already. Winnie will have to take her test some time too.

It was so nice, we had clear ground and could play on our agility stuff. But yesterday it snowed and it snowed again. Now we have snow back. I like snow and Lilian likes snow but that Winnie. Winnie doesn't like to get her feet wet. What a wimp!

Mom downloaded the information on Teacup Dog Agility's Petit Prix. I went with her last year and this year she says that Lilian can come too. it is in October so we have lots of time to plan. I hope that the snow melts by then.

We are having Spring break from school. We start again next week. I will so glad to get back to see my friends. Lilian and Winnie like school too. Now I have to go. Mom is going to go out and check the snow. I want to watch.

Keep warm, Emma

There is tons of snow!

This is me Emma in the trench that daddy dug so we couldn't go over the fence. We had so much snow that it was over my head at the door. Our agility toys are buried under the snow. All that we had indoors was the weave poles. Our tunnel and some jumps are under snow on the deck. Mom couldn't get them out to bring in so we have just been practicing weaves. It's Monday and I hope that some of our dog friends will make it to knitting tonight!

she tru us out in de sno!

That's Winnie complaining. Mom didn't really throw us out in the snow. She just opened the door and told us to go out. Yesterday, Sunday, I was the only one who wanted to go out. The snow was over my head so Mom had to go shovel a path for us. When I first tried to go out it was before she shoveled. Winnie is a wimp! Lilian and I went out and played but Winnie hadn't seen real snow before so she wouldn't go out, without Mom's help but she didn't throw her, just pushed her some.

Mom says that we finally have some snow. That seems to make her and Dad happy. Lilian isn't so happy because she can't find the stuff that she has hidden in the yard but she likes to play in the snow. And it isn't even cold. Mom says that the snow is heavy snow and that it drifted.

We wore our sweaters. Now that I am a TV star, I have to watch my health. Lilian just laughs and takes my bone. Winnie just cries. But Lilian says that I should show the picture of us in the snow last year. So I dis. That is our Teacup Tunnel. Our tunnel is all under snow today.

Have to go. Lilian needs my help to get bones away from Winnie.
Love Emma

I'm a Star!

I got to star in the TV commercial today. Since I can't talk English my niece, Annika got to talk for me. It was very strange, usually when I get near a yarn basket I get yelled at but today they kept telling me to get it one. Lilian sat on Annika's lap while Annika knit a purse. Winnie was just jumping around as usual. I sat on Natalie's lap cuz I am her favorite! We got lots of treats and hugs. Maybe I will be a TV star instead of playing agility. But mom says that staring is usually hard work and I got by easy.

They took pictures of one of our favorite sweaters for the commercial too. The Minnow Knits, Firecracker one that is knit in Rauma's Finullgarn. Mom knit it for Pippi for her first birthday. It is very pretty. It some times makes mom sad to think about Pippi wearing it but she is happy to see when Lily wears it cuz it fits her best and Lily came to us after Pippi was killed so mom thinks that Pippi wants her to wear it.

We are all resting because we had to work so hard. Mom said that she would type this for me and then I will go get in my basket to take a nap too. No school tonight so I can sleep all afternoon!

Valentines Day 2007

Happy Valentines Day from us Yorkie Girls at Playing With Yarn. It is very cold here and no snow to play in but mom and dad wen to the Cities yesterday to get us our Bravo Dog Food. They found a new place down there to get our food. They went to a holistic pet center called It's A Pet's Life in Plymouth, MN. They came home back home with all sorts of good treats for us as well as our good Bravo food. They said that the shop has a shop Yorkie like us. He is a boy and older then us. He has a new puppy brother that is a Wheaton Terrier and is bigger then the Yorkie. Their dad showed our folks some real good treats, so we got some some good Valentine's treats. We hope that you all got some too!

Mom is grumpy!

Mom is grumpy. her machines are breaking down. The printer doesn't talk to the 'puter. The puter newsletter wouldn't make pictures and she has to have some techs fix it.

And she is saying that it is cold out and we Yorkie Girls have to wear our sweaters. We like sweaters okay but we don't like waiting while she dresses us to go out. Last weekend Lilian and me, Emma, went to an agility workshop and she made us wear our sweaters in our crates in the car. She took pictures of us too. This is me in my Misti Alpaca Super Bulky sweater with Rauma Varmsegarn trim. Mom made the front collar so it splits and folds back. I think that I look real good in it.

Here is Lilian in Her Point Five sweater. It is two colors of Point Five alternated. This was a sweater Mom knit for Pippi and was her favorite. Lilian likes it too. Lilian likes pink best. It has Alpaca trim. Lilian is the smallest of us girls and is closest in size to what Pippi was so she gets to wear this sweater. This is the yarn that Mom wrote the pattern for originally but she has used lots of different yarns now besides this one.

This is Winnie in her sweater. It is made using 2 different colors of Point Five again with Alpaca trim. Winnie thinks that she is very cute wearing it. But then she always thinks that she is cute. Mom really likes to make this pattern because it uses thick yarn and big needles and goes fast. It also fits us really good. We like it because it is easy to get on and our heads aren't hidden in a sweater too long. It is also a very warm sweater for us when it gets below zero.

We don't mind the cold so much, especially cuz there isn't hardly any snow. We can run through our tunnel this year without having to dig to get in. I get snow between my toes and I don't like that. I hope that you like the pictures of us in our sweaters. It was a bore to have to wear them while they took our pictures!
